PRESS RELEASE
BUILDING COMPANY NOW BUILDING PROCESSES
Procession helps B&H Builders Ltd build processes
CHESHAM, United Kingdom. September 3rd 2002.
Building company B&H Builders Ltd has selected Procession, the business
process management (BPM) system from Procession Software Limited,
to build its next generation of high performance business processes.
The system will be used initially to provide the company's Works Order
and Management Control System.
B&H Builders chose Procession as the ideal
development platform for automated business processes (ABP) for two
main reasons: the speed of development, and the ease and simplicity
of maintenance and development. The Works Order and Management Control
System will be developed by the staff at Procession Software Limited,
who have been given a period of just five elapsed weeks to build and
implement the complete solution. The consultant hired to review the
business needs at B&H Builders Ltd stated: "Procession was the only
company that could produce the exact system required in the very tight
timescales available."
According to Ralph Tebby, Procession Software
Limited's Sales Director: "We relish a challenge such as this. To
most people, these timescales are ridiculous, but we know that the
Procession system is so flexible and easy to use that we will have
no problem in meeting the deadlines. It is also refreshing to see
a company such as B&H Builders embracing ABP as the only sensible
way forward. The building industry, often regarded as being very conservative,
is demonstrating that it is at the forefront in the use of information
technology."
The system will initially be used at the company's
head office in Northolt, but, being web-based, it will be capable
of easy expansion so that all the company's employees can access the
system from anywhere in the country.
About
Procession
Procession develops and markets Business Process Management (BPM)
software for the emerging process automation marketplace.
Supporting the operational aspects of Six Sigma
Plus* and conforming to the Business Process Management Initiative
(BPMI) standards, it enables organisations to implement, control,
monitor and improve their processes - leading to continual improvement
in customer focused quality and falling operational costs by allowing
managers to take control of their key business processes. The architecture
uses an RDBMS (Oracle), along with Java and J2EE application servers.
Procession's products are task-driven - unlike applications such as
CRM and ERP, which are based on data.
Based around a unique Process Engine, Procession's
range of products includes:
- The Financial Planning Suite - covering
sales management and forecasting for leads, opportunities,
revenue and invoicing
- Grant management
- Custom applications
Procession also provides low cost conduits to
link 'front end' systems such as the web with 'back end' systems,
such as mainframe and ERP systems.
Procession Software Ltd, formerly known as Datacore
Ltd, was founded in 1994. It became Procession in 2000. Its current
clients include the Bank of Scotland, UK Sport, Edinburgh City Council
and the New Opportunities Fund in the UK, along with Magma in the
USA.
* Six Sigma is a management philosophy originally
developed by the Motorola organisation. It sets extremely tough objectives
for the collection of data and the analysis of results. Its targets
are to reduce defects in products and services as far as possible.
