PROCESSION LAUNCHES VERSION 2 OF ITS REVENUE PLANNING EDITION
Successful Revenue Forecasting Solution Provides Further Facilities
CHESHAM, United Kingdom. October 28th, 2001. Procession today announced the release of
version 2 of the Procession Revenue Planning Edition, its sales & revenue forecasting system.
The most apparent change is the ‘look and feel’
when users log in to the system. The home page has been totally rebuilt,
with a new layout of all the pages and processes that can be accessed directly.
At the same time, a new access control system ensures that users only see the facilities
that they are authorised to access.
This makes it much easier for new users to navigate their way round the system.
The Stagger Chart™ has been extended to provide full ClickThru™ capabilities.
This means that any entry on the Stagger Chart™ can be expanded to show all those
opportunities that contributed to that entry. This applies to both forecast and actual figures,
so managers can quickly see whether the opportunities that were forecast did indeed turn into firm orders.
Exactly the same facilities apply to both the opportunities and the revenue modules.
When an opportunity reaches a probability level that generates a revenue forecast,
the facilities for auto-spreading and auto-re-spreading have been introduced,
reducing the work of the Finance Department.
These facilities mean that the revenue spread is generated automatically,
yet if the opportunity forecast changes for any reason,
then the appropriate Revenue spread is automatically updated.
Many of the icons have been improved, notably the way in which notifications
(the automatic informing of management when changes occur on significant opportunities) are indicated.
