NEW
UK COMPANY PROCESSION LAUNCHES UNIQUE SOLUTION FOR E-PROCESS
Strategies
and Funding In Place to Attack Fast Growing Market
Chesham,
England. April 4th, 2001 - Procession, a new UK company, has today launched
a unique solution for e-Process*. The E-PROCESS SUITE, which has already
been proven within several well-known organisations, uses non-prescriptive
technology to manage, audit and maintain sophisticated business processes.
Procession's
new management team includes several respected industry veterans and
significant funding has been put in place, including a recent subscription
from Sigma Technology Group.
Further announcements
today include a new research and development centre in Cambridge and
the new 'Editions' strategy (see below).
Business
Process Management (BPM) is evolving into e-Process, as it adapts to
the e-Business environment, and this e-Process market is already very
active in the US. Procession, with a solution based on Internet technology,
is set to make the most of the expected worldwide growth opportunity.
There is no legacy product and the solution is not subject to the drawbacks
and limitations of client-server based architecture.
The
Technology
The E-PROCESS
SUITE allows organisations to take the business processes that have
been key to their past success, and automate them into Web-enabled systems
in a non-prescriptive manner, while any inefficient or unnecessary processes
can be identified at the design stage. The intuitive user-friendly graphical
user interface (GUI) enables new systems to be designed and deployed
very rapidly. Disruption to company culture, staff retraining and drain
on IT resources are kept to a minimum. Future changes can be made seamlessly
and in real-time. Different languages and scripts are easily catered
for by the system's architecture, allowing systems to be fully international.
The E-PROCESS
SUITE's advanced audit trail logs every action made, allowing complete
visibility of all past events on the system. Detailed enquiries can
be dealt with quickly and efficiently, while post-analysis of activities
on the system helps improve competitiveness and business practices.
'Editions'
Strategy
Procession
is also launching its 'Editions' strategy. Editions are advanced solutions
to some of the most challenging business processes, allowing rapid return
on investment (ROI) and reduced time-to-market, and can also be the
starting point for comprehensive business systems. These versions of
the E-PROCESS SUITE have been tailored to focus on specific issues faced
by line-of-business managers. For example, the Sales Director Edition,
being web-enabled, allows companies to keep their essential forecasting
functions completely up-to-date, even when sales staff are out on the
road.
Corporate
Plans
Procession
is growing fast and recruiting widely, both for its new R&D centre
in Cambridge and for the expanding headquarters in Chesham. International
expansion plans involve the appointment of resellers throughout Europe
and OEM deals in the United States.
About
Procession
Procession develops & markets
Business Process Management (BPM) software for the emerging e-Process*
market. Procession's unique user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI)
allows the intuitive description of any given e-Business process by
the day-to-day user of that process, which means that new systems can
be deployed very rapidly. The Procession E-PROCESS SUITE is highly scalable
due to its standards-based architecture (Java & XML) and is already
in use by several blue chip organisations.
Headquartered
in Chesham, United Kingdom, the company is currently expanding its operations
to support the global marketplace. More information can be found at
