UK SPORT
CHOOSES PROCESSION'S E-PROCESS SUITE
Procession's Software Will Handle Funding
for Top Athletes
CHESHAM, England.
April 4th, 2001 - Procession has announced that UK Sport has chosen
and implemented Procession's E-PROCESS SUITE to handle awards of Lottery
funding to UK governing bodies of sport and major sporting events, as
well as awards to the UK's top athletes for their equipment, training
and living expenses. Procession, which has extensive experience in grant
management software, was the only supplier able to provide a solution
within the tight timescales.
"We chose Procession because of its flexibility
- we need to be able to introduce and modify processes very rapidly",
said Liz Nicholl, UK Sport's Director of Performance Services, "and
we liked the friendliness of the software. We were also impressed by
the quality of Procession's Professional Services - their consultants
have really become part of our team."
The E-PROCESS SUITE has also been chosen to
administer the UK Sports Institute Athlete Medical Scheme, which is
managed through the British Olympic Association (BOA). This scheme provides
medical support to more than 700 athletes involved in World Class Performance
Programmes. The separate system integrates with UK Sport's e-Process
Suite to share the database and to make use of the information on both
databases. (Payments are made via BUPA and the system at the BOA administers
the process).
"Procession's unique approach to designing
and building e-Processes means that we were able to create a tailored
solution for UK Sport that could be implemented in record time,"
said Paul Greenfield, Chief Executive Officer, Procession Limited, "Procession's
flexibility makes it easy to build links to other systems, such as the
UK Sports Institute's medical system, and its user-friendly graphical
user interface (GUI) will allow UK Sport to design and integrate future
changes and additions rapidly and in real-time."
About Procession
Procession develops & markets Business Process Management (BPM)
software for the emerging e-Process* market. Procession's unique user-friendly
graphical user interface (GUI) allows the intuitive description of any
given e-business process by the day-to-day user of that process, which
means that new systems can be deployed very rapidly. The Procession
E-PROCESS SUITE is highly scalable due to its standards-based architecture
(Java & XML) and is already in use by several blue chip organisations,
such as the Bank of Scotland, UK Sport and the New Opportunities Fund.
Headquartered in Chesham, United Kingdom, the
company is currently expanding its operations to support the global
marketplace. More information can be found at www.procession.com
