PRESS RELEASE
BANK OF SCOTLAND GOES LIVE WITH PROCESSION'S
E-PROCESS SUITE
Procession Chosen to Automate Bank of
Scotland'sDocumentary & Cheque Collections
CHESHAM, England.
December 15th, 2000 - Procession Limited today announced that Bank of
Scotland is using Procession's E-PROCESS SUITE to automate the processes
of its International Documentary and Cheque Collection department. Procession
was chosen as the only supplier able to deliver a fully functioning
system tailored to the Bank's needs within the appropriate timescale
and at the right cost.
"We were impressed
when we saw Procession's demonstration" said Norman Turner, Head
of Payment and International Services, "within a short period of
time Procession had produced a system that accommodated our business
processes and closely mirrored all the relevant procedures. The system
was adapted to our needs rather than the other way round.
Procession was able
to meet the Bank's need for a system that could be easily refined and
amended to cope with the changing business requirements. The system
has increased the information available on the Department's collection
business".
The system, which
has already significantly reduced the cost base of the department, is
up-and-running only two months after being commissioned.
"Procession's
unique graphical user interface makes it easy to design new e-processes
and alter existing ones" said Paul Greenfield, Chief Executive
Officer, Procession Limited, "the new processes can be designed
intuitively and then built without the need to resort to programming
languages and without getting tied up in long consultation exercises."
About Procession
Limited. Procession develops & markets Business Process Management
(BPM) software for the emerging e-Process* market. Procession's unique
user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) allows the intuitive description
of any given eBusiness process by the day-to-day user of that process,
which means that new systems can be deployed very rapidly. The Procession
E-PROCESS SUITE is highly scalable due to its standards-based architecture
(Java & XML) and is already in use by several blue chip organisations.
